  1. I like most people are very cynical about Infomercial products or items that are sold in the kiosk malls. For some reason I wanted to try this Italsteam product. If it can save me a couple of hours of ironing on my precious weekends I was willing to make an investment. I tried to product and I will tell you it was the best money I have ever spent. In less than 2 hours I was able to iron 9 cotton shirts, 2 polo shirts, and 2 pairs of dress pants which on a normal day would take me 5 plus hours. It was incredible. I was impressed with the quality of the ironing and the speed of the steam. Yes, there was some dark water that did appear but it was because of user error. I can tell you that this little iron will come very handy to me during my business travels. For those who have hesitations hopefully my review will convince you. Also important that you thoroughly review the instructions or go on their website. They have useful videos that show you how to use this product I hope this review was helpful to those that are debating on purchasing the item. Best regards, Luis Dorantes.

  2. I also got this from a mall kiosk, and I’ve only been using it about 2 weeks. It starts quicky, generates a LOT of steam and stops quickly when it gets tipped over. Ordinarily I use a full-size Conair steamer, and I got this to replace an American Tourister travel steamer because it took so long to make steam. I have been using this since I bought it for all my laundry because it is so fast. Despite the cheap feel, short steaming time between refills and the weird rust-water and maintenance procedures, I have had none of the problems that others had. I use it mostly for steaming, but it also irons well, and I have not had any rust water coming out on my clothes in either case. Some fabrics steam better than others, but performance in all cases has been on par or superior to my other steamers. Can’t comment on customer service yet, so I will hang on to the AT travel steamer just in case (a functional, compact and easy to pack alternative for those of you afraid of this one). So far, it is worth the $40 I paid, fingers crossed it keeps working like this…

  3. PLEASE DO NOT purchase this product at any kiosk in any mall anywhere (online either).

It is the epitome of a rip off. It doesn’t eliminate wrinkles, stains clothes, and runs out of steam after 4 minutes (or less). Customer service doesn’t respond (there may not even be a legitimate headquarters) and the BBB can’t get a reliability report from them. BE FOREWARNED!

I’ve learned now to always purchase “no refund, exchange only” items with a credit card. That way, atleast you can dispute the issue via your credit card company and possibly get a credit.

  4. I just bought this at a mall kiosk (surprising even myself). I brought it home and it works just about as good

as it did in the mall. At the mall they used some silky type fabric that obviously works the best. But when I asked if it worked

on jeans the guy brought out some wrinkled jeans and it worked. I tried it on several wrinkled shirts and pants at home and works in that it can take a shirt from being too wrinkled to wear to presentable. It isn’t going to compete with the kind of ironing job your mom did for you for your prom or first job interview! Too all the people complaining about brown stuff coming out of it – thanks! Because I read the broken english instructions again and noticed that it says to clean the unit after each use and it even states that the water coming out will not be clear and is a by product of the salt and steam. So when i cleaned it , i probably had to fill it up, shake it, and empty four times before i got out all the brown gunk. So i can understand at if you didn’t clean it you could end up with brown stuff coming out. All in all this is a legitimate product, if you follow the directions you can get out enough wrinkles to wear something that would not otherwise be presentable.

  5. I bought this from a mall kiosk paying much more than it goes for on amazon! Secondly, it stains your clothes, will burn your hands and uses a ton of salt and water to keep it working. It does not save time!!! The man that sold me this machine even said I could do dry cleaning with it, what a lye! Be smart and get something from bed bath and beyond with a good reputation.
