Was initially pleased and surprised at the good value advertised for this product. Unfortunately, did not receive (pack of six) as advertised for this product, but only one(1) bottle. Plan to follow up on this when time allows. Have not yet determined the effectiveness of the product.

I have to say I really liked the reviews of this product, but maybe I did not read well enough. We bought this for my son who was heading to Costa Rica on a mission trip. Wanting to stay as natural as possible this looked like a great alternative. When it arrived I sprayed a little on myself to see how it smelled. It is REALLY strong and not sure I could use it myself, but he might. I can’t say if it worked or not as he ended up not needing to use anything while there so will have to wait to see. I am willing to look at any natural solution to bug control so I am sure I will try this out some way somehow, but I have asthma and extrememly sensative to odors. That said, this will not be on my skin or anywhere close to my nose.

This product is marketed as a natural product, but it is still as hazardous to humans. What’s the point in being natural then? The warnings in the back are just as scary as regular bug repellents that use DEET.
Repel has a strong lemony smell, similar to Pledge I think. Although it is strong, and a bit distracting, the smell didn’t irritate my throat. Colognes and Perfumes usually irritate my throat, but not Repel.
I don’t understand the logic behind an insect repellent being applied as a spray or pump. Each produces a fine mist that is very easy to get into your eyes, nose, or mouth — whether indoors or outdoors. Considering all the warnings in the back about it being poisonous, I’m surprised these products exist in this form.
I gave it two stars for those three things combined, but mostly for the third. Other than that it is an effective bug repellent. However, I’d much rather use some other repellent applied as a cream.

If there was a zero star category, this product would receive it from me. First time out with this spray found it totally ineffective…not even the smallest deterent. Based on my experience, it is a complete waste of money and to get a refund you must subtract out the shipping. I would advise using another product if mosquito bites are an issue for you,

Pros:
Sprays a fine, even mist
Works very well to repel insects
Cons:
When spraying even lightly, this stuff makes me choke
60 % of the ingredients are NOT LISTED
“Do not apply more than twice per day” reads as a warning label.
It may be plant-based, but I would not use this on children (or myself anymore, for that matter)
Check out Kiss My Face Fly Swatter, or Badger Anti-Bug Balm instead.
