The line was feeding out way too fast. When I spotted the replacement part, I noticed the spring in the picture. I must have lost the spring on my original. So for $11 appx. (part + shipping), I now have a unit that works. A lot to pay for a spring, but the bottom line is that I’m back in the trim of life. Anybody think of a good use for a spare orange cap?

This replacement part fit perfect for my electric trimmer by Black & Decker. It was a Grass Hog model. It cost more to ship than the price. Consider ordering more than one.

Bought from Amazon.com. I would have had to buy whole new weed whacker, but this part saved me the money I would have spent on the purchase. My original weed whacker was still a perfectly good once I had the necessary part.
